Colin Swift

Colin Swift is Co-Founder and Chief Learning Architect at Assisted Intelligence, specializing in AI knowledge architecture, learning design, and human-AI systems. His work centers on a fundamental question: how should knowledge, context, and information be structured so both people and artificial intelligence can effectively understand and use it? Colin's formal background is instructional design, the discipline of structuring information and experiences for human understanding. He holds a Master's in Learning Design and Technology from Purdue University and spent five years teaching Computer Science, Robotics, and STEM across public schools in Indiana and Alaska. That foundation now informs his work at the intersection of human thinking, knowledge architecture, and machine intelligence. His work applies instructional design principles to a broader challenge: helping people structure their thinking, intent, context, and knowledge before engaging with AI, while designing the information environments AI systems rely on to interpret and retrieve that knowledge effectively.
